Very impressed with the quality and detail of the service done by Travis and Steve. Halfway through the boat already looks 80% better from the day of purchase. Engine removal, cleanup, service done impeccably. Accurate estimates and great communication. The shop itself is one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. My wife and I have been boaters for just over a year now. Our boat, a 2002 Bayliner Cierra Classic, had a rebuilt motor when we bought the thing, but we were a little disappointed to find it needed some work. Several gaskets leaked oil. Considering safety and peace of mind, we started looking for a marine mechanic to fix our gasket issues. We really wanted to feel safe out there in the Puget Sound waters and needed a motor we could rely on.

With that in mind, we were grateful to find Travis at Custom Marine Services. Prior to meeting Travis, our experience with other marine mechanics was less than satisfactory. I am pleased to share a different outcome here. After further inspection and diagnosis of our old motor, we decided to accept the advice of Custom Marine Services to install a new motor. A motor we could count on.

Our boat is nearly 25 years old and needed more than just a new motor, including some plumbing and wiring. Custom Marine Services work was timely and knowledgeable. Travis and his team even worked on the weekend, so we could make it back on the water for the early summer.

Overall, we are grateful to have found a marine mechanic with the technical expertise and professionalism we needed to get us back on the water with a reliable motor. Our new MerCruiser inboard engine has breathed new life into our boat and we feel safer and more confident. We launch out of Edmonds, and this June, we found a new marine engine service team in Custom Marine Services. It was really easy to contact Travis (in Stanwood) and get an estimate and quickly schedule service so we could get out and get our fishing and crabbing on! Travis and staff at Custom Marine were very easy to work and communicate with. I took my Bayliner 185 in to check out some engine noise and they were able to help diagnose and get a plan in place to fix. They took it a step further and were able to take care of a couple other issues that were going to start to cause some headache all in the same servicing.
